Roast some marshmallows with the kids over the fire pit in the front yard.	Dinner out at Bear's Way is on the side deck in the fresh mountain air under the covered gazebo.	Kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and dining area are open to the fireplace and living room.	The full kitchen is ready to prepare a family meal with all the necessary utensils just bring your favorite ingredients..

Location:

Bear's Way Log Cabin is located within the gated community of Mountain View Estates. The Cherokee NC location of this log cabin means that it is just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, downtown Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bryson City is about a 10 minute scenic drive away. White water rafting on the Nantahala river is around a 25 minute ride through some of the most scenic roads of North Carolina. All the roads leading to and from this cabin are paved.

Exterior:

Access to this cabin is generally suitable to most Bikes and large enough for most vehicles with bike trailer. The paved driveway leads up to the flat parking area where two sets of stairs access the deck. Park around the back of the cabin to park next to the stairs leading to the side deck off the dinning room. Park along the side of the cabin to be close to the stairs to the front porch. The covered front porch where fresh mountain air and the peaceful sounds of birds in the surrounding trees will invite you to sit in one of the rocking chairs for a while; continues past the front door to the large open side deck. Here a gazebo with a ceiling fan to stir the fresh cool mountain air shelters from the sun and rain an outdoor dinning table. A gas grill also waits on the side deck to prepare an out door feast. In the evening gather the family around the fire pit in the front yard to roast marshmallows.

Entry Level:

The front door enters into the living room next to the stone gas log fireplace. Leather furnishings, wood walls and cathedral ceiling, and picture windows full of forest views fill the room with natural colors and warmth to create a relaxing and inviting interior decor. This same deco is carried across to the dinning room with seating for 6 guest. The full kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher is stocked with a cooking and dinning utensils. Next to the kitchen, a hall way leads back to the bedrooms. The first door on the right is a full bath. The door on the left is the master bedroom. This room has a king size bed and a private full bath. The last door is the second bedroom, which has a queen size bed.

Upper Level / Loft:

The stairs to the upper level begin in the living room. At the top of the stairs a twin size sleeper lover seat does double duty as a quiet reading spot and extra sleeping space in small loft area. The only room on the upper level is the game room. A great place for the kids to escape to. The pool table flips over to become an air hockey table. An electronic dart board hangs on the wall waiting to play a game of cricket. The most popular feature of the game room is the Wii video game consol. Bring their favorite video game. The love seat in front of the satellite TV also opens up into a twin size bed for extra sleeping space. The game room also has an attached full bathroom.

July 2010 What a wonderful experience! Our family really enjoyed the cabin and surrounding areas. The guidebook was most helpful! Thank you for making us feel at home, away from home. We had family staying at some of the other cabins next to us, it was great being together. We enjoyed the game room a lot, spending most of our time there playing pool, darts, checkers and wii! July 2010 This cabin is fantastic! We enjoyed being here as much as we did being out hiking, horseback riding, and white water rafting. Our kids loved the wii and cooking was no hassle with all the kitchen supplies. We are so pleased with this vacation home and how lovely it is tucked into the mountain and decorated tastefully. my husband loved the TV Satellite!! So everyone was pleased with CMV! The Fords GA
