The outdoor gas log fireplace on the lower deck is a great place to stay warm and still enjoy the cool mountain air. Location:

Black Bear Lookout is a custom 3 bedroom 2 bath vacation rental home perched on a hillside over looking the mountains of Bryson City, NC. Located within a mile of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and a mile from Bryson City, this is the perfect hideaway to enjoy all the activities and attractions in the area. Cherokee is just a scenic 10 minute drive away. White water rafting on the Nantahala river is just 15 minutes away.

Exterior:

The paved road end at a gravel parking area, where you can pull right up to the walkway to the front door. Black Bear Lookout has two large decks. A stone pathway from the parking area leads down to the lower deck. Where the path ends at you will find a great place to sit and enjoy the mountain views in front of an out door gas log fireplace. The lower deck continues around past the sliding glass doors of the two lower bedrooms. At the far secluded corner of the lower deck you can slip into the outdoor hot tub to wind down after a long day of hiking the scenic trails of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park or exploring the Cherokee NC and Bryson City NC shops. The open upper deck is only accessible from with inside the cabin. Many guest have spent long hours relaxing in the rocking chairs watching the view of the Bryson City mountains. If the noon day sun gets too strong, you can escape to the shade of the gazebo. The gazebo is also a great place to enjoy dinning out in the fresh mountain air with scenic mountain views.

Entry Level:

The Large custom wood front door open to a professionally decorated interior that has all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel. The spacious interior and open floor plan is filled by the mountain views through the glass doors across the back of the cabin. The full kitchen is open to the mountain views. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking and dinning utensils. The bar seats three guest. Passing through the kitchen is the dinning table next to the double glass doors looking out over the scenic views. To the right of the kitchen is the living area. Here comfortable sofas and armchairs are positioned to take advantage of the mountain views and the satellite TV. The double glass doors in the living room and dinning area open to the upper deck. A door off the living room leads to the master bedroom with a queen size bed. The Master bath has a large jacuzzi style tub. Just to the right of the front door are stairs down to the lower level.

Lower Level:

At the end of the stairs from the upper level is the first of the two lower level bedrooms. This bedroom has a queen size bed and sliding glass door that allows the mountain views to fill the room. The lower deck and hot tub are just outside the door. The second door off the hallway is second lower level bedroom. It also has a queen size bed and sliding glass door that open to the mountain views and lower deck. Past the two bedrooms is a small entertainment room. A fooseball table and satellite tv will help keep the kids entertained on rainy nights. The lower level full bath is the last room on the left.
