Location:

Cherokee Cottage is a log cabin in the gated community of Mountain View Estates in Cherokee NC. The Cherokee NC location of this log cabin means that it is just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, downtown Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Add paved roads and large parking areas, enough room for trailers, and you can see why Mountain View Estates of Cherokee is a favorite of bikers and everyone else who wants easy access to the major highways, all the local attractions and luxury accommodations. Bryson City is about a 10 minute scenic drive away. White water rafting on the Nantahala river is around a 25 minute ride through some of the most scenic roads of North Carolina. All the roads leading to and from this cabin are paved. Cherokee Cottage has a great mountain view from the large covered front porch and hot tub.

Exterior:
Cherokee Cottage is located in the home of the Cherokee Indians, but this log cabin is no pioneer era cabin. Cherokee Cottage is a real log cabin with the charm of a traditional log mountain home and all the luxuries of a modern home. From the paved parking area a set of stair on the left access the large covered front porch with gazebos on both ends. The first gazebos is to the left of the stairs. This is a great spot to enjoy the fresh mountain air dining out with the family. For a more quiet way to watch the mountain view, kill some time in one of the rocking chairs on the front covered porch. The gazebo on the far end of the porch is home to the most relaxing way to spend a quiet evening, soaking in the warm massaging waters of a covered outdoor hot tub. The front door is in about the middle of the front porch. A second set of steps from the parking area provide access to the cabins back door.

Thank you for sharing your cabin with our family. We celebrated Thanksgiving here, and it was the best ever. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our family feast. The cabin was big enough to give us all our space to relax but small enough to still be cozy. We loved the location, close enough to everything we wanted to see. The train trip was alot of fun, Bryson City has some nice shops to visit. We enjoyed the train museum too. Thanks for the memories.

Wow! The fall colors are spectacular! We picked the perfect time to visit the mountains! We took so many pictures, can't wait to share with our friends when we get back home. The cabin was a great place to come back to and relax every evening. We enjoyed the time spent playing games, sitting in front of the fireplace and soaking in the hot tub. We wouldn't change a thing, the bear decor is adorable.
Thanks for sharing you home with us.

Loved the cabin and the area. Had a relaxing time. The cabin is comfortable and well maintained. We had everything we needed, the kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck and chilling in the hot tub. We rented a pontoon boat and explored Fontana Lake. The kids enjoyed swimming and fishing. Wish we could stay longer!

Cherokee Cottage is a great place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Our family enjoyed the quite serenity of the mountains. Relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings and seeing the stars was magical. We loved hiking to the waterfalls on Deep Creek. The first one you come to has nice park benches, we could have sat there all day taking it in, beautiful. Something special about the mountains, it's like no other place we have visited. Our boys had a great time roasting marshmallows and catching lighting bugs around the cabin in the evenings. We took some day trips, Cherokee and Bryson City both have some hidden treasures, and are fun to explore. We hope to return soon, taking lasting memories back with us.

We really enjoyed our stay! You cabin home is beautiful. We enjoyed being outside and hearing the sounds of nature while rocking in the chairs or relaxing in the hot tub. We came here as an alternative to staying at the beach, and we are so glad we did! We enjoyed gem mining, driving on the parkway and seeing the Biltmore House.
